Jenny Blogg has been announced as the new CCO for Rank Group Plc

Rank Group Plc has confirmed the appointment of Jenny Blogg as its new Chief Commercial Officer, as the company continues a broader leadership transition. Blogg, formerly Operations Director at Allwyn UK, will officially step into the role on 16 March.

The move comes during a period of significant change at the Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo operator. Long-serving CEO John O’Reilly revealed last month that he intends to retire, while John H. Ott succeeded Alex Thursby as Chair in November 2025.

Blogg brings more than 25 years of senior commercial experience spanning retail, food, and gambling.

During her tenure at Allwyn UK, the current National Lottery operator, she oversaw retail, contact centre, draw operations, winner services, and customer experience functions over a two-year period. Before that, she held senior director positions at Camelot UK, the former National Lottery operator.

Her earlier career includes leadership roles at global consumer brands such as Mondelēz International and Cadbury. She is also a Founding Member of Chief, a private network focused on advancing women into leadership roles.

At Rank, Blogg will be responsible for shaping and enhancing the cross-channel customer experience across both Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos.

“The opportunity to join Rank at this stage of the growth story has been irresistible,” said Blogg.

“With strong brands and clear levers to drive growth across the group, I am confident that my track record of delivering results will fit extremely well with the ambitions that Richard has outlined.”

Blogg’s arrival coincides with the search for a permanent successor to John O’Reilly, who is stepping down after nearly eight years at the helm of the FTSE 250 company.

In a recent interview, O’Reilly praised Rank’s “battle-hardened” leadership team and suggested it would be “hard to find a better candidate (for the CEO role)” than current CFO Richard Harris.

Harris, who joined the Berkshire-based operator in 2022, is serving as interim CEO.

Commenting on the new CCO appointment, Harris said: “Jenny is an outstanding leader and brings significant corporate experience in delivering successful results in high-profile organisations.

“She joins us at an exciting time as we focus on delivering operating profit for the group of at least £100m in the medium term.

“With her commercial expertise, I am confident she will be a great addition to our strong executive team, and I look forward to welcoming her to Rank next month.”

Blogg joins Rank at a time of positive financial performance. For the six months ending 31 December 2025, total digital revenue reached £123.8m, up from £120.2m during the same period the previous year.

Operating profit also increased year-on-year, rising from £33m to £40.6m. The company has set a medium-term goal of achieving at least £100m in operating profit.

However, future growth may be tempered by regulatory and tax developments in the UK market. Remote Gaming Duty is set to rise from 21% to 40% in April, a significant increase that could affect margins.

Despite these looming pressures, O’Reilly previously indicated that the business would “respond with agility” to regulatory and fiscal challenges ahead.
